Tony Kempton from Simmonsigns said: ‘Its great to do a course with people facing the same challenges, and share experiences whilst building your own knowledge.’
The training and support created a positive change within the companies and has had a tremendous impact on their environmental improvements.
Andy Whyle, chair of BESST and Environment Officer of Ricoh said: “The courses have been very successful. The training has not only given companies an insight into environmental best practice but has also enabled them to network with likeminded people while learning the benefits of environmental management.”
The BESST group is a partnership between local and private sector businesses including Transforming Telford, Maxell, Ricoh, Simmonsigns, Denso, Telford Extrusions and Lyreco. BESST offers free advice to all focusing on resource efficiency and waste minimisation.
