Telford Economic Development Partnership Appoints a New Chairman

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Capgemini’s Aspire Division, Ian Dosser, has been appointed as Chair of the Telford Economic Development Partnership (TEDP). The TEDP is made up of a range of businesses and meets quarterly to review Telford’s economic status and act as a lobbying voice on a number of topics. Ian, will lead the private and public sector partnership on key economic issues for the borough.

Ian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the economic arena, having worked in finance roles for just about every area of Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. He has travelled across the world, including a two-year post in Singapore as CFO for Capgemini Asia.

Ian’s commitment to Telford is both personal and corporate. He came to Telford at the beginning of 2004 when Capgemini was awarded the Aspire contract to supply technology services to the Inland Revenue. Capgemini Aspire now employs around 3,500 people and is the largest private sector employer in Telford. Working together with the TEDP and Telford Council, Capgemini runs community events and is also the main sponsor of AFC Telford United.

This year we are focusing on addressing Inward Investment, Investor Development activity and the Skills Agenda, which will help to attract businesses to Telford as well as retain and support the growth of local companies already here. ”
