Halesfield, The key industrial estates of Stafford Park, Halesfield and Hortonwood will be revitalised to re-establish their position as strategic employment sites offering a range of quality accommodation.

Offices & Technology Parks, To support growth Telford will see the creation of new jobs through the expansion of exisitng businesses, new start-ups and inward movers. In order to achieve this investments will be made in business areas with quality sites and premises being brought forward.

Town Centre, The multi million pound development of the Town Centre is crucial to the future of Telford. It will bring new jobs, investment and help to create a sense of place.

Stafford Park, The key industrial estates of Stafford Park, Halesfield and Hortonwood will be revitalised to re-establish their position as strategic employment sites offering a range of quality accommodation.

Woodside, By 2015 Woodside will be a place where people want to live and choose to stay following a £60 million programme of physical and social regeneration.

Telford Millenium Community, One of only seven Millennium Communities in the country, this new development will create around 700 high quality homes on a 35 hectare (86 acre) site.

Ironstone at Lawley, Ironstone at Lawley is a £500 million, 70 hectare (173 acre) scheme which will provide 3,300 homes and mixed-use space.

Lightmoor, Lightmoor Village is a £50 million development on a 72 hectares (178 acres) site. When complete in 2012 it will be a mixed-use community of 800 homes, retail and leisure units around a new central square.

Woodside, By 2015 Woodside will be a place where people want to live and choose to stay following a £60 million programme of physical and social regeneration.

Telford Sports, Enterprise and Learning Village, An exciting multi-million pound development that links Telford’s excellence in football and sports, together with education and community regeneration.

Rail Freight Terminal, Led by Telford & Wrekin Council the new rail freight terminal is a £4.2 million development that has regional and national significance.

Wrekin College, Wrekin College is a co-educational boarding and day school that caters for 11-18 year olds. Known for generations as the 'School in the garden', 450 students benefit from excellent facilities in a warm atmosphere.

New College, New College is a successful sixth form college located in Wellington. It specialises in providing further education for over 2,000 students aged 16 - 19 years.

Hadley Learning Community, The Hadley Learning Community is a new £70 million development that provides education in three phases as well as extensive community facilities for sport, the arts and life-long learning.

University of Wolverhampton Telford Campus, The Telford Campus is a £30 million purpose built establishment that accomodates around 1200 students. Home to the Business School, School of Engineering and Built Environment other facilities include the £7million e-Innovation Centre and the Innovative Product Development Centre.

Thomas Telford School, Thomas Telford School is one of 15 city technology colleges. Providing secondary and sixth form education it is constantly ranked at the top of the UK performance tables.

AFC Telford United, Founded in 1872, and based at the Bucks Head ground in Wellington, Telford United are the most successful club in the history of the FA Trophy, the non-league equivalent of the FA Cup, boasting five Wembley finals and three victories at the famous old stadium.

Hoo Farm, Hoo Farm is a family-run Countryside Attraction nestling in 32 acres of woodland and paddocks in the heart of Shropshire. The Museum of Iron

The Museum of Iron is adjacent to the original furnace used by Abraham Darby when he first smelted iron ore with coke to produce cheap and plentiful cast iron. The iron produced was then used in the manufacture of cooking pots , rails, wheels and of course the worlds first iron bridge

Coalport China Museum

See the National Collections of Caughley and Coalport china in the old Coalport China works. See demonstrations of traditional ceramic techniques. Children will love their own special gallery where they’ll find plenty to discover. During most school holidays you can drop-in to the creative workshops and have a go at a range of ceramic techniques.

Jackfield Tile Museum

Jackfield Tile Museum is a former world centre of the decorative tile industry. Visitors can see a unique collection of superb wall and floor tiles, and watch them being made. The charming Victorian gas-lit galleries and period settings give a superb view of how these highly decorative tiles were made and sold here in Jackfield. You can walk through a country church, a shop and tube station and see where some of these tiles ended up.

Wonderland

Telford Steam Railway Trust

Located in Shropshire, Telford Steam Railway is a preserved railway operated by a small team of volunteers on Sundays, Bank Holidays and Christmas from Easter to the end of September. They have an extensive 00 Gauge Model Railway.

The Ironbridge Institute, The Ironbridge Institute is a partnership between the University of Birmingham and the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and provides top-class taught postgraduate courses in Heritage. Over six hundred students have now followed the Masters and Diploma programmes.

Telford Snowboard & Ski Centre

Set within the beautiful countryside of Shropshire, in close proximity to the Ironbridge Gorge, Telford Snowboard & Ski Centre offers the only outdoor all weather dry ski slope in the county. Museum of the Gorge

The Museum of the Gorge provides an excellent introduction to the valley and its attractions. The museum building was originally a riverside warehouse where fine porcelain goods from Coalbrookdale began their journey to the rest of the world. The museum houses a 40ft scale model of the town as it was in 1796 and is the ideal place to learn about the history of the Severn.

Jackfield Bridge

Opened in October 1994, Jackfield Bridge is a vital link between the north and south of the river. Prior to this a toll bridge and a ferry were the crossing means and were replaced in 1909 by a 3 span open spandrel arch bridge. After serving the Gorge for almost 80 years, the new Jackfield Bridge was designed taking into account the unstable nature of the gorge, the tourism industry and flooding. Ten years on, the bridge has fulfilled all expectations.

The Ironbridge Gorge, A World Heritage Site set in a beautiful wooded valley in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. One of Shropshire is top attractions, the Ironbridge Gorge is known worldwide as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Home to ten museums, Ironbridge has many activities from decorating your own ceramic tile, to completing intriguing design challenges, trying Victorian Trades or joining in ceramic activities. There are always many opportunities to get hands-on at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, such as Blists Hill Victorian Town, Jackfield Tile Museum, Coalport China Museum and Enginuity.

The Princess Royal Hospital

The Princess Royal Hospital, which opened in 1989, serves Telford and the surrounding areas, has its own A&E department, and also houses the Apley Clinic which takes private patients. Following the merger of the Princess Royal and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2003, The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust was formed.

University of Wolverhampton

Originally a Polytechnic, and granted University status in 1992, it offers over 340 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, has halls of residence at 4 campuses. The University is also home to the first e-Innovation Centre in Shropshire which is specialist unit accommodation for businesses in the region.
